Where is the sculpting site located?

The sculptors will carve at Blue Bell Park located on North Norton Avenue, Sylacauga, every day from April 1-12, 2025.

Do I need to register/buy tickets to attend the festival?

All events associated with the Marble Festival are free of charge, however sculptors who plan to attend and sculpt will need to complete the Sculptor Registration form before attending.

Are marble quarry tours available?

Quarry tours will only be offered on the dates and times given. Reservation is required to attend. Please call B.B. Comer Memorial Library to reserve a spot at (256)249-0961.

Where can I view sculptures from past Marble Festivals?

B. B. Comer Memorial Library houses the Magic of Marble collection, which includes sculptures done by visiting Italian sculptors, as well as sculptors from the Sylacauga area. For more information about B. B. Comer Memorial Library click here.

When will the Marble Festival be held?

The 2025 Magic of Marble Festival will be held April 1st-12th. 

Is the Magic of Marble Festival an in-person or virtual event?

The 2025 Magic of Marble Festival is an outdoor in-person event that begins April 1st and ends April 12th. Safety precautions including masks and hand sanitizer are appreciated. We encourage you to check out the Marble Festival Facebook page as well as the B. B. Comer Memorial Library Facebook page for photos, videos, and stories. 

When is the best time to visit the Marble festival?

Sculpting will begin when the festival starts on April 1st, however, to view more advanced progress of sculpture you may prefer to visit during the middle of the festival. Sculptors wor at their own pace and while there are no set hours, the best time of day to visit is typically between 8:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. and 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. The sculptor availability toward the end of the festival is based on the sculptors personal schedule.

Are there items for purchase during the festival?

Sculptors bring pieces of their artwork that will be for sale in the marble sale room located at B. B. Comer Memorial Library. There will also be marble history books, t-shirts, and notecards for sale at B. B. Comer Memorial Library. 

How long has the Sylacauga Magic of Marble Festival been held?

The first Magic of Marble Festival was held in April of 2009 and is held annually. Join us for the 17th year of the Magic of Marble!
